I've got to find a good boating hat for my wife.
She's already had 2 blow off her head when she stood up from behind
the windshield.
The first one, she didn't want to go back for due to choppy
conditions, I insisted and had to operate the boat plus unscramble the
boathook from other stuff in the boat..in the meantime my propellor
wash sunk the cap.
the 2nd one...I made sure she got the boathook out before we arrived
back to where it sat in the harbour. She picked it up like a pro.
I think something with an all around brim and a chin tie would be
best. While I'm at it, i'll look for a better model for myself. I want
better ventilation around the crown... something lacking in the
earlier Tilley hats.

If I was losing hats, my wife would suggest I start using sheet metal
screws.

Eh...

Tilley has some hats out now with mesh ventilation panels. I used to
have one, but my wife swiped it.
