So, I am trying to look up an old friend in the Netherlands and I found
him on Linkedin.. To "contact" him, they want all my personal
information and permission to molest my facebook, etc... So, when I get
finished giving them my underpants size, does anyone know if I will get
a actual contact information, or just leave him a note and pray he logs
in someday??? Thanks.

You will get an email address that he provided - that's the only things
that's a guarantee. If he listed a phone number that will be there but
it's optional.

It is times like this when it is handy to have a junk Email address
you can use if you are afraid of spam.


It's not that, it's the whole tracking thing.. They want desperately to
look into not only me, but they want to harvest for their own use, all
of my friends, everywhere...

LinkedIn doesn't send much SPAM, in fact the SPAM is that they want you
to sign up for their premium service.
