Looks a bit like a Whaler.

Can you build that shape with wood panels?

Absolutely, and absolutely... My intent was to build a boat that would
mimic the handling characteristics of a Whaler, with panels... It would
be a very simple boat to build. I was going to build it around the
bulkheads, so it would be built "self jigging"...
