The SMART Grid is a vision and as of now it is an undefined and unobtainable vision. Completely correct. Here, let's play a game! "A Vision for Abatement of Foul-Smelling Flatulence" - The product will solve the problem of foul smells from flatulence. - The general public will no longer be afraid to let one go in the presence of others. - In the future all flatulence will have a smell similar to butterflies and flowers on a mild, spring day. - The product will be virtually tasteless and odorless, and will be low-cost. - The product will have the additional affect of helping to induce World Peace. Now what in this vision statement can be refuted? Answer: Nothing. Since the product doesn't exist yet, none of the claims about it can be refuted. It is nothing more than a vison statement of what the "product" may accomplish. No data on how it will do so, just what it is hoped (hyped?) to do. Any competent technical person understands the difference between a vision statement and a technical report with actual data. Or one would hope so. |
