Glad you could have a great time, Bob. I never got to use my boat this
year. The mid-west drought brought the water levels in the lakes to a
dangerous level. Oh, I probably could have taken the little 18 footer
out, but I didn't want to risk ripping up another lower end... The
13 footer, would have been guaranteed destruction.

I just called the marina to see if I could bring my boat in today. They are taking nothing until
after Hurricane Sandy (named after my wife!). They're on the Potomac River and are really worried
about a tidal surge flooding the whole damn place.

Hope all remains well with them.

I'm not ready. In fact, it's going to be 83 degrees today, and
I'm taking the afternoon off to go out on the lake. When we
come back in this evening, I'll have to tie back up in a
different slip so the entire dock we're on can be replaced in November.

I'm not ready either. But...the leaves have started their merry
trip to earth, and I've not even

gotten a good start on the bumper crop of acorns we had this year.

Don't ever buy a house with twelve big oak trees thereon.

Too late... we have nothing but 90 foot tall oaks. Huge acorns.
But our leaves are just now starting to get some color. Squirrels
are going "nuts" right now. I bought one of these a couple years
ago... worth every penny.

When my leaves are at full-tilt, I'd have to use that every other
day, and the bag would have to be emptied 20 times. My riding
mower, with the two huge bags, is useless after 4-5 days.

I don't use the bagger. I just run over the leaves and they disappear.

You need a few more trees!

I have had to pay to have a few of them cut down over the past couple of

years. One was an 80 foot tall blue spruce that fell over in a wind

storm. $1000 to have it removed and the fence repaired. Then there was

the 80 foot tall Norway maple that needed to be cut down, $1500, because

it had a Y that was splitting to the ground. There were two wires

holding it together about 40 feet up.

This doesn't count all of the work done on the other trees over the last

13 years.

Fortunately, I have a huge natural area in the back that I can
blow the leaves into.

My neighbors get ****ed when I throw our dog poop over the fence into

their yard. I suppose they would have the same problem if I blew my

leaves into their yard.

I really don't believe you throw the dog poop into their back yard!

Luckily my wife takes the dogs for a walk every day and they eat and

poop while on their walk. The problem is that my wife brings the poop

home and tosses it into our trash can. It is not pleasant around the

trash can in the summer time.

Good for her being a responsible dog owner.
I have a dedicated trash can lined with a large garbage bags for that purpose.
It would be a perfect spot to dispose of any unwelcome vermin that might
come onto my property uninvited.

Thanks for the reminder. We've all seen photos of your front yard
littered with trash cans and other debris. What a disgusting pig sty.
Your property must be a *vermin magnet*.

Gee, Meyer, why are you so snarky? A guy says he picks up after his dog and
you go after him for that. Why are youso concerned about where someone
lives? You must live in a mansion, right?

When is the last time you had your name on the real estate tax rolls? I
imagine it was back in the nineties when your bungalow was foreclosed on.

What? I was still in college. Didn't buy the first house until 2007.
What's with your snarkiness?

We have a lot of practice outing your sock puppets. But if you still want
to play and can stand being humiliated, go for it.

You're funny in a sad sort of way. Well, it must be time for you to again
go after those you don't like. Have fun, and don't choke on that snarkball
in your throat.

I keep a little trash can out by the side of the garage with a plastic grocery bag therein. After
walking the dogs, I throw the poop bag there, and then empty it into the big trash can on trash day.
Works pretty well.

Oh, I get my poop bags here now: http://www.uline.com/BL_5577/Newspaper-Bags

Hell, 2000 for $51. Much cheaper than at the store!

Gee, Empacher Fan, why are you, a responsible federal law official, getting involved in the trivial
bull****? And, why do you seem to focus your attentions in one direction only?

Your 'above it all' attitude lasted what - almost a week?

I think it was Spruce we lost here a couple decades back from something,
shag bark hickory is very rare too I think I remember my dad saying
something about something that hit them too.

Oooops, just remembered it wasn't spruce although they did get hit
