I'm sure wishin' I'd put an external oil filter on the Guzzi about 20 years ago. What a PITA this
oil change is! Salmonbait -- **Those who think they can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of them better take a closer look at the American Indian.** |

Like, needing machine work, etc? |

Like, needing machine work, etc? No, it's about the same amount of work as installing a new oil filter. But, the kits are not cheap: http://www.harpermoto.com/harpers-ou...oto-guzzi.html Of course, 20 years ago they were only about half that. Should have bought one. Have you ever been to Harper's? They're over by KC, but if I ever go through that neck of the woods again, I may stop and look around. They've got the reputation of being the most expensive place in the US for Guzzi stuff, but they also have the best selection. Replace, clean, other??? Change the oil, replace the filter. But to get to the filter the pan must be dropped. Here's a picture. You can see where the filter is located. The pan below must be dropped, all 18 bolts. https://www.harpermoto.com/images/pl...e-oil-pump.jpg or: http://tinyurl.com/b9x7chr Salmonbait -- 'Name-calling'...the liberals' answer to a lost argument! |
