Why are you so concerned about imprinting governmental institutions
with Judeo-Christian symbolism? If you were a Hindu, Bhudist,
Muslim, Native American or whatever, would you feel that your chances
for a fair trial were improved?

I could care less about further imprinting anything with anything. I just find it humorous!

It will probably work but you might want to fill the base tubes with
sand or concrete to keep it from being blown over on windy days. If
you have a permanent site, the best strategy is to sink a pair of 3
inch PVC pipes into the ground with a post hole digger.

Yeah, I was planning to use 2" pipe and fill with sand or a mortar mix. I want something I can take
apart and put in a 'range bag'.

I'd be using it at the Quantico range, so can't dig any holes.

Sure, I would go with the mortar mix and just fill the base tubes. Bring
a couple extra empty upright tubes in case something were to go haywire
and you splattered one I think you are dead on with your design in my
opinion.

OH, and how do you get down range to set something like this up? Is the
place that empty, or do they have a specific protocol? Just curious.

It's run pretty much like a military range. There's a range OIC, and a range Safety Officer. There
will be times for shootin' and times for messin' with the targets.

Looks good but frankly every range I've gone to has plenty of target
stands. We just bring our own paper targets.

When I signed up at Quantico, I was told I needed to bring my own target stand. The pistol range is
the 'far side' of the rifle range. In the winter there are so few shooters there that they open only
one range, On the map, it's 'Range 1'.
