First, there are not many active posters in this usenet group.

Second, with as few posters as there are, very, very few are "boaters."
Among the rest are a handful who likely have never owned a boat. I can
think of a half dozen posters here who I cannot recall ever posting any
information about a boat they own or may have owned in the past. They
are only here to insult other posters or, in the case of one, to
encourage a certain psychotic poster to behave even more badly than he
regularly does.

I am a regular poster to two "moderated" boating discussion groups, and
an occasional poster on a third. I see no reason to put up boating posts
here, only to see the usual suspects attempt to trash them. The
moderated discussion boards are full of people who actually like boats
and like discussing boats and affiliated subjects.

Sure you are , you lying sack of ****.

I came to this forum some time ago asking a question about which would be the best boat to buy! I got some pretty good answers, but, oh my Lord, what happened next . . .? It was like throwing a rabbit into a pack of wild dogs. I’ve checked back a few times, and I’m simply amazed by what goes on here.

Now, back to the boat: some unexpected events have arisen, and I’ve had to put off the purchase for the immediate future. The boat I would have gotten was the Edgewater 17’ with a 115 Yamaha. . . one day, hopefully. A total hip replacement came at a bad time!

These are just a few of my observations:

Thank you Wayne for your updates on your travels! Your reports have been a joy to read! You seem to be a true boater!
Then there’s the one who reeks havoc by his vulgar language and his threats to kill. I, and I’m serious, pray for you. You really do need to seek counseling. You must realize that your poison does you no good.
Then there’s the one who thinks he is above all others - so smug and arrogant. He is the absolute authority, but I admit that he definitely has command of the English language. You need to try to be a little more charitable and remember the old cliche: “When you point your finger at one person, three of your fingers are pointing back at you!”
Then the one whose every other post is “cite!” I think that he thinks he’s intellectually superior, but it’s hard to imagine any intellect when he starts calling others “morons” and other such terms and puts himself on the same level as those he criticizes.
One person speaks up, and the pack pounces. I’ve never seen such name calling, such disrespect, such utter disregard for another’s opinion, and the list just goes on and on. If you look at this group as a microcosm of the world, then we’re in very serious trouble.

Then it dawned on me! This group thrives on chaos, scorn, and disdain! You love it! That’s why you sit on the edge of your chairs staring at your computers ready to chime in with more words of wisdom! Otherwise, why would the same posters keep returning day after day, hour after hour?

Please, look at your posts with objective eyes. Certainly you can act better than this. Certainly you are better than this.

Peace to you all.

It's really simple... when the right-wingers stop trying to crap on
everyone, things will improve. Not saying the other side is blameless,
but the major ****tards on the right outnumber those on the left by
about five to one.

I doubt you'd last very long on any moderated group. Wherever you go you
present as a flaming ass.
