You can now buy binoculars with minature elecronic gyros that are almost unbelievably good. Unfortunately I haven't seen anything comparable in camera technology other than the really high end professional gear. Hand holding a long telephoto lens on a moving boat is very difficult but if you push up the ASA number to 400 or so you can use very fast shutter speeds. Yes, but you suffer with "noise" the higher the ASA. ASA 400 ain't that high nowadays. Digital imaging has come a long ways since the days of Tri-X film. |
