Sounds great. Do you have a buddy going with you? It is handy to go out in a group when you are "spring shake down cruising" boats. I hope we can all get back on the water so we will have some boat stories. Ah...boating! It will probably be a month and a half before I launch... although I do have full stand uf canvas on my new fish/ski boat. Took the first step getting ready by picking up a new tow vehicle last Monday. A Toyota Highlander with the V6 and 4WD should make easy work of towing the 2000pound weight of my rig. I'll use the time to make sure I have 1000km on the odometer... the amount recommended before towing. Right now I'm just shy of 300km. I'd hate to tell Johnny and his ilk the colour of the Highlander, he'd cream his depends. I like the Highlander. My only complaint so far is, besides using a bit more gas ... it's not as agile as the RAV4 on twisty narrow roads. I did know this before buying and decided to compromise for the highway comfort and towing capability. Had to go out right away and buy a soft sided dog crate for tha Springer Spaniel. He has a habit of bringing in lots of the crusher dust/very fine gravel that the city likes to use on the pathways of our favourite off-leash park. The nice thing about this Hartz 'DogIt' crate is that I can fit the 36" x 24" size sideways in the back luggage area and it has doors on both an end and on the side. So far so good...the dog was quiter and more relaxed than usual. |

My Springer Spaniel wouldn't stand for that..... he's fussy and demanding on where he rides. ;-) |

It was 70 degrees, not many people out, but calm and very nice. We're finally getting cranked up for Spring! |
