I think it is highly appropriate at this time of the year that we send
THANKS to all of the countries that have reciprocated for our help
with
their disasters, misgivings, social turmoil, & poverty by returning

favor, and sending the United States of America monetary and physical
help when " Sandy " ravaged our East Coast leaving dead, homelessness,
and pure disaster.

Humor, I am sure but not exactly accurate according to a quick Google
search. Several countries provided or offered aid, including Russia,
France, Great Britain and Iran of all places. We didn't accept all
aid offers.

That list might be a bit of bull****.
I remember our local COSTCO collecting at the register.
Maybe they got all the credit.
As usual, Power crews were sent down from either Quebec or Eastern Canada.
I'm sure a Google search could come up with numerous other instances of assistance.

Canadian Red Cross say they sent down a small team of "highly trained disaster management volunteers" plus collected donations for the effort.
Not to be forgotten, we had some damage in Ontario also, although very small by NY standards. (early estimate of 100 million plus a couple of deaths)
