St. Lucia - sailboat charters

Hello,

We would like to charter a 38" to 44" sailboat in St. Lucia for one week,
and we were wandering if you have suggestions about charter companies.
Sunsail and Moorings are out of the equation since their prices are very
high.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Guillermo

DSL is a charter company in Rodney Baty that I've been told is excellent,
will even provision the boat for you.

They also do yacht maintenance and have a very good reputation. I keep my
boat at Rodney Bay and their work is reliable. You can have a look at my
website on cruising the Caribbean at www.rossandcarla.com

The taxes and fees in St Lucia are high and there are fwwer compaines.
Martinique is FAR cheaper to charter a boat and it's just 29 miles by
water north. You save a huge amount of money by chartering the boat
there.

We usually do a day charter or two from Rodeny bay with a private boat
and captain. The captain we go with (they won't charter the boat any
other way) is a Morrings captain too and he sets up charters for
clients by getting the boat in Martinique and bringing it down to St
Lucia.

The west coast of St Lucia is a GREAT trip with exceptional scenery
and places to anchor.
