My guess

The jury on the Zimmerman trial will return a "not guilty" on the 2nd
degree murder charge and a "guilty" of manslaughter.

The prosecution put a serious dent in the defense arguments today when
they called the Army JAG lawyer who taught a course that Zimmerman
took in a Jr. College. The course covered Stand Your Ground laws.

In a cable TV (Fox News) interview Zimmerman was asked if he knew of
or was aware of Stand Your Ground laws prior to the shooting of
Martin.
Zimmerman answered that he had *not* heard of them or had any
knowledge of them.

But, he had received an "A" in the course given by the JAG lawyer.
Pinocchio time.

Are you giving Zimmerman too much credit now for intelligence? Shouldn't the "JAG' lawyer be
asked about all of the grades that were given in the course that Zimmerman took?

The Judge would not allow it. She only allowed testimony that could
relate to Zimmerman's prior knowledge of the Stand Your Own Ground
statutes. Her reasoning is that it could have a direct bearing on the
case, which obviously it did.

My problem with the whole thing is that he didn't stand his ground. He
followed the kid and that might have been the cause for the kid to react
however he did.

You are assuming that the JAG lawyer didn't give everyone A's and B's. Grade inflation is a
real thing and it happens at all schools from Harvard all the way done to Podunk CC.

Stand your ground, as the Florida law is written, is situational.

Everyone who attends a class for a Concealed Carry Permit in Florida
learns about the stand your ground law and when it applies.

Well, see, that's the thing, the FOXites refuse to admit or even
acknowledge that Zimmerman is a liar, and lied many times over. Even
though he was caught in all of these lies, the FOXites continue to
believe every word he says!
