I've acquired an older sunfish in need of restoration. I'd rather use
used parts and not have to pay for new parts, sail excluded. Where might I go for used parts? Thanks. |

I sold a wooden Sailfish on Ebay last spring to a young couple in Marathon, Fl. Check Ebay motors-boats and watercraft accesories. Some nieghborhoods have marine salvage yards with lots of good deals on stuff like blocks and cleats laying in buckets. Start in the yellow pages and ask lots of questions on the phone about where to find stuff. My favorite in Tampa Bay is called Don's marine salvage, http://donssalvagecom.verizonsupersite.com/homepage/ I've seen a cool shop in Jacksonville Fl. I think was called Pier 93. Happy hunting. John. |
