Here's an invite to view and listen to a music video that has been petitioned to Boston Mayor Marty Walsh and members of the Boston City Council to be the official anthem of Boston, MA. Music and lyrics are by Amanda Carr. Amanda is the singer/composer who performed at the Re-Tunes Performance Venue last month to a packed, sell-out crowd. We had a blast. Amanda is also a member of the REMAX realty team with whom we have our house listed. She is a hoot with an unbelievable amount of energy that is applied to all kinds of endeavors from performing with the Boston Pops, boxing, motorcycle riding and volunteer work for people with disabilities. Very creative an interesting person. She wrote this song over a period of many months and has been working on getting the final audio and video touches done, some of which was re-mastering, editing and mixing at the recording studio associated with Re-Tunes. I was fortunate to get to hear and see it before it was officially released and have been looking forward to it's release today. Take a look. It's pretty damn good! A decent sound system and viewing in the large viewer option or full screen is recommended. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3K4MWTVyxI#t=15 |

Just kidding. Why the big Citgo sign? Being 100% Venezuelan owned, they are not one of my favorite companies, and I've never considered them to be a symbol of Boston. |

The big Citgo sign has been an icon seen from within Fenway Park for decades. It's part of what makes Fenway, Fenway. |

I hope they play both together at Fenway! |

If they show it at Fenwick Park, I would advise putting the lyrics there. Maybe the crowd will sing along. |

I would assume that most of the folks at the games don't have the hearing issues you do, and of course are culturally familiar with the context so it might come easier to them.. does that make sense? |

Maybe because I heard it many, many times during the final mastering and mixing, the lyrics are understandable to me. Good feedback though. I'll mention it. |
