Yeah, I got crew member pay, $110/month, but not for the OV-10 ride. As the battalion S-2 during my
last six months I flew a dawn and dusk patrol of all the major roads in the 25th Infantry Division's
AO. Then we could get an early start on bridges blown or roads cratered. This was done by
helicopter, just me and the pilots. Very enjoyable to watch the sun come up while laying on the
cabin floor of the helicopter.
