Silly boy, why would I want to suffer 15 minutes of commercials when I can just fast forward.
Try it, I'm sure you'll agree the rental of a digital recorder is worth the money.
BTW...we record all the series we favour for later playback.

How much to rent? How much to buy?

We DVR'd the new Cosmos series for that reason, so we could skip the
commercials. Loved the series, and the emphasis in several episodes on
evolution is still driving the "Cretins of Creationism" down here
crazy..they *demanded* equal time to sell their religious
stuporstitions. But National Geo turned them down. :)

What a segue. Couple of people discussing DVRs quickly eases into an
anti-religion rant by Harry. Typical.

Science and religious stuporstition tend not to mix well. The
stuporstitious tried to horn in on the new Cosmos series and were turned
down. That's worth mentioning. Apparently the creationists are afraid
the new series is going to find its way into the public schools, and
without the anti-evolution nonsense they sell.

At the same time it's interesting to watch my TV time go down as I learn
this channel, or that channel is run by intolerant haters. Now NatGeo
joins MSNBC, Food Channel, A+E and the Weather channel in the "not
really interested in their intolerant stuporstitions" category in my
watch list...

The Ingerfools watch the Cartoon Channel.

The Weather Channel, eh? What happened there...was the Weather Channel
discussing weather patterns without claiming they were influenced by the
deity in the sky?

So what? Your comments have nothing to do with DVRs.

I used to take you at face value but a few weeks ago (out of curiosity)
I did a search on your past posts on newsgroups.

The result was eye-opening. You've been chanting the anti-religion,
anti-Republican, anti-Bush, anti-everything (unless you subscribe) for
over 14 years now and on multiple newsgroups. Your message is always
the same regardless of the specific newsgroup area of interest or of any
post, on-topic or not.

Conclusion can only be that your participation is not for common
interest discussions. Your interest is trolling multiple newsgroups
(and probably dedicated discussion forums) to further your message and
whatever agenda you have. That's a troll ... defined.

Sure they do. I wouldn't have noticed the controversy at all had I not
DVR-recorded and then watched the series, and then read about what the
stuporstitious tried to pull.

On usenet, I only post here on rec.boats. Wayne and Company have turned
rec.boats.cruising into dog****. It's been many years since I've even
looked at any other usenet newsgroups. If I am "appearing" on other
newsgroups these days, it's because of inadvertent cross-posting on my
part or perhaps deliberate cross-posting on the part of others.

I won't argue that my "message" some of the time is anti-Bush,
anti-Republican, anti-religion. But my relatively few comments these
days are more than "outnumbered" by the political and pro-religious
comments of your buddies FlaJim, Herring, and the right-wing assholes
who live in my bozo bin. (They show up second or third hand sometimes).

Interestingly, you never seem to nip at their heels. Why is that?

Oh...common interest discussions in rec.boats? About what, pray tell?
Model airplanes? RVs? Non-boating vacation spots? Chicago gun crime?
What do those topics have to do with rec.boats?

Hard to buy Harry. You invoke (or at least used to use) the "do not
archive" option in the headers of your posts apparently to keep them
from being saved forever but it rarely works. Anyone who has ever
responded to your posts shows your input as a quoted comment.

I was amazed at the number of newsgroups and the content of your posts
over the years, and I only searched for "Harry Krause". I didn't
bother looking for "FOAD", "ESAD", "Harry", "HKrause" or any of the
other "handles" you've used over the years. "Harry Krause" produced
enough. I also only looked back to 2000.

Inadvertent cross posting? Doubtful. You've created quite a legacy and
reputation in Usenet over the years and none of it is positive.
