I used to love being on the boat on days like this, either at the slip or sometimes I'd move out to a mooring. Just enough wind to rock the boat for a nice afternoon nap and cool enough to not require running the A/C. It is 90 and sunny at hilton head. We are slipped in skull creek but are at the beach today. Are you on your boat? Not at the moment. We just left the beach for the pool. I meant ... did you take your boat down the ICW (or off shore) to Hilton Head from the Chesapeake Bay? HIS boat? Not a chance! He said nothing about taking *his* boat. |

It's always funny when you, FlaJim and BAR talk about boat ownership, since none of you have one, and BAR hasn't a boat for decades, if he ever had one. |

The last boat you owned was the LT 20ft phakah with the fringed surry top. He doesn't mention Herr Luddite. I 'spect he's afraid he'd get slam-dunked for the 127th time! Luddite is an avid boater, and he's expressed interest in buying another. You, the Florida Asshole and Bertbrain are boatless and will remain that way, unless you have a Viking funeral. If so, make sure I am invited. I'll donate a gallon of high test. |

I was simply curious if Harry does any cruising in the 36 or 37 foot (forgot what it is) boat he said he owns, mainly because it's the type of boat (size, diesel powered, twin screw) that I am interested in for the future. The small boats are fun and I've had a few but for my interests I will be looking for something that I can spend some number of days on. His is the right size. He also said it has Volvo diesels and I am somewhat familiar with them. Curious as to how they are performing for him. |

Let us know your thoughts afterwards. Hell, maybe a twin Volvo diesel powered trawler is in my future also. |
