My wife just had four new Michelin's put on her Mountaineer. They charged her $925 for the set, balanced and installed. That included the charge to dispose of the old tires. |

Point is in a fix you can get 4 legal tires for 200 bucks.. mounted, and balanced, and he comes to you at home, track, work, school, church.... or you can drive to him too.... |

I think he meant for the 4 mounted and balanced. I also remember those tires years ago only lasted about 10,000 miles. Best deal I got on tires was 2 weeks ago. My Toyo tires in the truck for 2+ years were recalled. New set mounted and balanced. List was over a grand. Free to me. Back tires were about 50% worn and fronts maybe 35%. |

Keyser Söze - hide quoted text - "When my wife's car needed new tires, the local car dealer had the best price by far for four Michelins." Yup. When the original equip Toyo tires wore down on my RAV4, I priced new Michelin Latitude Tour tires at my dealer, COSTCO and at a well known local tire dealer Toyota met the other two prices. Meeting the price - I get that. Waiting for a dealer to do a 20 minute job in over an hour - not so much. I'm sure you will say you were in and out but that would be a lie or worthy of headline news. |

Or buy gas for 21 cents a gallon. That also reminds me. Gosh, when I was a boy, my mom could send me down to the store with a $1 bill, and I could come back with 5 potatoes, 2 loaves of bread, 3 bottles of milk, a hunk of cheese, and box of tea and 6 eggs.
