No John. I have seen some very nice used ones for the $450.00 range. BTW, that one in your link is a Mini-14 though. and not a ranch rifle. the dead give away is the rear sight.

Here's a stainless Ranch (minus scope) for about the same money

John, this might be right. Used police, wood stock Mini. flash suppressor (which is an option), and appears to be stainless.

$450.00

Well why the heck is it called a 'Ranch'? The one in your link is not called a
'ranch'. I'm thinking the 'Ranch' means it's got a wooden stock.

Note the designation in the Ruger site:

That's a pretty good price, but some of the reviews are scary. I wonder what the 'GB'
in the description means.

John, I think all the new production mini's have a composite stock to make it look 'tactical'

It used to be that the Mini AND the Ranch were all wood stocks.
That police trade-in might be 10 years old too, (as if it would matter).

No, the model 5801 has a wooden stock and is still in the Ruger lineup. It's the one
on the top in the link above. Or this one:

Could be John. I confess I've been out of the scene for quite a while. I do comb the markets occasionally for stuff. but after a while, numbers and models start blending together.

But I know what I got. LOL!
