I take that back. Mine doesn't have a solo seat. It it does have the factory 'sport seat' which is stock equipment.

There's also gobs of Guzzi forums with classifieds to browse through too.

How much gas does it hold? That tank looks bigger than the one on my GS and it holds 9.25 gallons

19 liters or a tad over 5 gallons.

Oh it "looks" big alright but it's deep cut in the center. It actually holds 5 gal. Not sure what the reserve capacity is though

That includes the reserve.

Yes but I didn't know how much gas you have left after you turn on the reserve, Maybe a gallon and a half?

I'm thinking it's less than a gallon. Maybe next time I get a couple hundred miles on
a tank I'll measure the reserve amount. Be interesting.

Yes it would be interesting, but you're tank is totally different than mine. But that's what I liked about the ambassador, it had double fuel peacocks so you could only used a "half tank" at a time.

I have the same thing...petcocks on each side and half the reserve on each side.

But like the old VW bug, you had to remember to switch the reserve valve
handle back when filling up. No gas gauge.

I had a dune buggy made on a 58 beetle pan and it had a gas gauge.
This was a mechanical deal with a solid steel cable in a spiral
jacket.
There is a guy selling one on Ebay as we speak.
http://tinyurl.com/qz6xure
Mine was bad when I got the pan and I could get the cable from JC
Whitney. They used to have a lot of Beetle parts in those days.

Yup, been there and done that. Luckily I was going downhill at the time, and there
was a gas station at the bottom!
