Yes but I didn't know how much gas you have left after you turn on the reserve, Maybe a gallon and a half? |

Yes but I didn't know how much gas you have left after you turn on the reserve, Maybe a gallon and a half? I'm thinking it's less than a gallon. Maybe next time I get a couple hundred miles on a tank I'll measure the reserve amount. Be interesting. -- Ban idiots, not guns! |

Yes it would be interesting, but you're tank is totally different than mine. But that's what I liked about the ambassador, it had double fuel peacocks so you could only used a "half tank" at a time. |

I had a dune buggy made on a 58 beetle pan and it had a gas gauge. This was a mechanical deal with a solid steel cable in a spiral jacket. There is a guy selling one on Ebay as we speak. http://tinyurl.com/qz6xure Mine was bad when I got the pan and I could get the cable from JC Whitney. They used to have a lot of Beetle parts in those days. |
