Most of the DoD boondoggles are related to jobs in the districts of the congressmen who vote for them, I am still not in favor of corporate welfare tho. |

Too many of those jobs end up getting exported... Lee County is in the process of trying to claw back some money we paid for one of these "job generators". I still think the whole idea is flawed. DoD contracts are usually written to insure that most of the content is US sourced and the ones that are not should be rejected. Wasting money on these boondoggles is bad enough but sending the money overseas is obscene. |
