With all of the churn, it is hard to remember what kind of guns flow through your little dealership I picked up a really nice walnut stock for the mini-14 but haven't gotten around to putting it on... Saw a mini-14 at the range a few weeks ago that got the owner kicked out...apparently he figured out some way to "bump fire" it and the range officer said, "Go home." My range kicks you out for "rapid fire" too but they seem to tolerate a disciplined double tap. Semi-auto "defense" pistols are for guys who can't shoot straight! ![]() Say that to millions of soldiers who were defended by a 1911. Make each one count. |

He got off at least 3 rounds in rapid succession so that is a heluva zip gun. If this is true it talks to the futility of gun control even more than an illegally owned gun. The point of aim is...at least three clicks lower than it was on my Ruger Mark III, though the pistols are approximately the same size and shape, and have a similar mounting rail. If this is true it talks to the futility of gun control even more than an illegally owned gun. It was on a news report from Great Britain, still no secondary confirmation. There were lots of unconfirmed reports including that this was a shotgun and that it was the size of a cucumber but multiple shots seems to be confirmed. That is not a zip gun. I haven't seen any reports that indicate it was a homemade single shot "zip" gun as opposed to some sort of homemade multi-shot firearm. Here's an article that doesn't shine a lot of light on the subject: http://www.ammoland.com/2016/06/brit...#axzz4BZseoaD6 There was nothing there we have not already heard. The "old WWI" thing would have me thinking an old Webley. It is clear these people do not know much about guns and I assume they think if it is not a Sig, Glock or Beretta M9 like they see in the movies, it must be an antique. Maybe they should see your stuff ;-) I keep my "junk" zipped up! Hey, I have a semi-auto pistol, albeit only a .22LR. ![]() Learned a lesson from your first cousin Ray Harry Krause the perv, eh? -- x ----Android NewsGroup Reader---- http://usenet.sinaapp.com/ |

It gets the range neighbors on edge if they think they are hearing guns on full auto and bump firing comes pretty close. What exactly is bump firing? It sounds like what Harry was trying to accomplish by making his triggers overly sensitive. Premature ejackulation, if you will. -- x ----Android NewsGroup Reader---- http://usenet.sinaapp.com/ |

If you want to know about bump firing, you can google it or see plenty of examples on youtube. Oh, and I never customize the triggers on my firearms to make them "overly sensitive." |
