I'm hearing reports of very high water temperatures in the Gulf of
Mexico, like 91.8 degrees in Naples, Florida. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, how does it compare to normal? |

Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, how does it compare to normal? 91.8 was reported by NOAA station NPSF1 (right off the beach near Port Royal). 33.2c is on the high side of normal but not a record http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/images/climplot/NPSF1_st.jpg Buoy 42023, 90 miles offshore it is 87.8 I suspect this is just warning us that any kind of decent storm can be pretty exciting. |
