BTW, we finished our boating today at 48 degrees north latitude, a tad
farther north than southern Newfoundland."

So...now you're a tad closer to the North Pole than to the Equator.

Yes and it feels like it when the sun starts coming up at 4 in the
morning. :-)

I watched you breaking out of the river into the bay. Back in the open
water again is cool.

The wind was really howling out of the north west as we came into
Tadoussac this afternoon. I would like to have gone up the Saguenay
fjord a ways but between the wind and the 4 knot adverse current it
was a no go.

Let me fix that... *VERY* restricted. Donny must have owned some very pedestrian firearms, if any at all. If none, then he still owns none, eh?

Maybe like England. You can own a long gun, but has to be stored at a gun
club.

In the light of the Nice France attack, I think it is time to call for
truck control. We need to register all of the trucks. We need to
license all of the people owning and using trucks. We need to regulate
how fast they go, how much they can carry and we need to regulate
private sales, requiring that all are documented with the government.

Oh wait ... they do. Yet 84 people were killed and many more had
horrific injuries, caused by this fully automatic truck.

"In 2010, 3,675 people were killed in accidents with large trucks.
That same year, 80,000 more were injured."

However, in 2010 there were 367 people killed by rifles. All types
of rifles.

Chicago. Guns.

I'm pretty sure there is nothing funny about this latest mass murder

There sure isn't. Neither is the Chicago murder rate which seems to go
unnoticed by your president.

That's just more of your uninformed bull****.

When was the last time your president mentioned the subject of blacks killing blacks? He'd rather
ban guns from law abiding citizens.

I've owned exactly what I've wanted to own. A 22 cal semi auto rifle with a 4x scope, a 20 ga single shot shotgun and an old 303 Lee Enfield refurbished army rifle.
I don't hunt so I never felt the need for anything else.

Kalif...I can understand some of the heat stroked southern boys in here making a dumb statement like that but you claim to make frequent trips to Canada and should know better.
Sounds like our laws are similar to some of the more enlightened states like Mass.
I keep my firearms stored in a closet with trigger locks in place and the ammo is stored separately.

The way things rot and corrode up thar in the salty air, Id be
surprised if a bullet could make it all the way down his
barrel.
