Thought you might be interested in a status update regarding my wife's
broken arm since she and you shared a similar break at about the same time.

She went for X-rays today to see how the mending is progressing. From
the front, it seems fine but the side view shows that the upper humerus
has not aligned properly with the ball or whatever it is called. It's
displaced back too far. The doc said to give it another 8 weeks to see
if it "grows" together and fills in otherwise surgery may be required
which will involve replacement of the "ball" and pinning of the humerus
to it. Basically, it would be back to square one with the healing process.

My wife does not want to even consider this however the doc said it may
be the only way to permanently get rid of pain and discomfort.

Mine is healed. The break was not out of line and they said bones repair
in about 30 days. Now it is stretching the muscles and working on the scar
adhesions. Sorry to hear of wife's difficulty. As an aside, I did take
the boat out today for the first time since the break. Ran well, batteries
were dead yesterday. Finally figured out why they are going dead in
storage with the battery switch off. Couple years ago, added a second
bilge switch, and they are wired direct to battery. Is one of the smart
pumps that sense the water level. So the computer circuit is always
drawing power. So will wire to the switch, and then just leave switch on
when I slip the boat overnight.
