I would have said it was hard to believe anyone would appoint a corrupt nincompoop incompetent like Palin to any high federal post, but we're talking about Donald Trump, and most of his appointments and plans so far have been and will prove to be horrific for those who are not wealthy. And corrupt. Did you see the deal he cooked to keep some of the jobs Carrier Air Conditioning wanted to move to Mexico in Indiana? That's the usual bull**** politicians in states play...they bribe a company to stay where they are instead of deserting a city in search of lower wages and less environmental controls. Trump, as Luddite said, couldn't bribe anyone. He's not President yet. Is bribing 'a company to stay where they are instead of deserting a city in search of lower wages and less environmental controls worse than penalizing said company if they do so? Guess what...you weren't missed. Maybe you should stick to your 'not going to be around' comment. Or was that just another lie? |

Saw an old movie last weekend with a scene that reminded me of Trump's upcoming cabinet meetings and, of course, of the right-wing gaseous emitters in rec.boats. Same noises, same smells. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6dm9rN6oTs I see you've been drinking the Rachel Maddow Kool-Aid too. State tax incentives for companies are fairly routine. |

As for the Sarah Palin "thing": Unless something new has happened in the past 24 hours, the "Boston" reporter I heard said that Palin had contacted the Trump transition team, not the other way around. They did not solicit her for anything. The media picked up on it and began speculating as to what role she could play. The media is responsible for the Secretary of Veteran Affairs position rumor, not any formal announcement of consideration by the Trump team. Basically, she's looking for a job. |

If Pence was from Tennessee, the deal would have just been to move there. |

We need more racist, mysoginistic, homophobic, xenophobic (especially) Repugnants in high level positions. Now STFU. Say what? JohnnyMop...y'all seem to get more obnoxious the closer we get to your saviour's birthday. An independent outside observer might find that to be very anti-Christian like behaviour. What's up with that? |

As a governor she was well liked and fairly efficient on Alaskas focal matters. The least she can do is bumble things and get fired like what Bill Clinton was forced to do with mrs. Elders after she was appointed surgeon general. Speakers nog of surgeon general I'd think that would have been better suited for Ben Carson. Anyhow. That whole team has 4 years to prove itself, or maybe less... In our last Conservative government, the very unpopular Minister if Veterans Affairs started closing many of the Veteran service offices in smaller communities. Bad move...the Legion in Sydney Cape Breton got all fired up and started organizing national protests ...even traveling to Ottawa. During our federal election last year they launched an 'Anything but Conservative' campaign. All 30 seats in the Atlantic region went Liberal and nationally the Conservatives were trounced. Sarah better be careful down there. |
