Engine hard to start = need change spark plug?
Try a new plug, also make sure that you have primed the bulb enough (but not
too much), also, make sure that you have the throttle in the highest position of the "start" section of the throttle. "n0sPaM" wrote in message . rogers.com... I have a 1999 Mercury 2-stroke 20 HP (manual, not elec. start), recently i am having difficulties in starting the motor in the morning. Sometimes I have to pull the string 10-15 times before the motor starts rolling. (gas line is fine and vent are fully open). It seems better in the afternoon, I suspect warmer temperature makes it easier to start? It used to be very easy to start... wondering if I need to change spark plug? -- will this help? or some other services are necessary? B.N. (Boating Newbie) |
