Mr. Luddite - show quoted text - I don't think I've had McDonald's fries (or anything else there for that matter) for about 10 years. Are they better? Used to taste like a salty, wet stick or at least what I imagine a salty, wet stick would taste like. ..... occasionally when traveling I might grab something through the drive-up, but, I’ve never really been a McDonald’s fan either. They have good coffee, and a senior price. Other than that, I used to like the sausage biscuit for breakfast when traveling. |

McDonalds $1 burger was OK for a quick, inexpensive snack but haven't seen it recently. The $1 went went when the minimum wage was raised. |

I don't really think that is true. If anything they are making bigger burgers for more money. Some places have a McDonalds making a mega mac using 2 quarter pounder patties instead of the ~1.7 oz patty they use for a regular burger. Maybe your appetite is just getting bigger ;-) |

I’m meaning the standard Big Mac has gone up in Price but the standard burger seems to have had a shrinking beef patty over the years. I know they now offer “hand crafted” and other variants of the same thing. I be not seen a “mega Mac” even advertised. Like I said- in my area. |

Wasn't there a news story about a guy who lost all kinds of weight by only eating at McDonnald's for years? |
