obeying the traffic laws. And typically I only go over into the left

the speed limit. It always brings a smile to my face when I see an
asshole who passed me at a seriously illegal rate of speed pulled over
down the road, getting a nice, expen$ive ticket. Hope it is you.

If a priest is there I’m surprised you’d go at all, or do you actually like hanging out with your so-called “easter bunny worshipers?”

I know and am friends with a couple of priests and nuns and even a rabbi
or two. I'm not a believer, but I certainly respect sincerely religious
people who, if they are christians, try to follow the important
teachings of their jesus. The christians in rec.boats appear to be CINOs

Tim seems to have a record of actually participating in church
charities, not just going to an event and hob nobing with other
limousine liberals who only show up for the ceremony.

I handled the internal PR for this project, will get quotes for the
updates, and will direct the photographer. The people I work for there
are the ones who provided financing for the project and the ones who
provided the workers and the training for new workers. It's typically
the people on your side of the political aisle who make it difficult for
workers to get into affordable housing... you know, the conservative
rich ****s.

So they are customers, That makes sense.

What is affordable housing? According to the state of California is 30
units per acre. That’s it.

Arlington County, Virginia, has a good working definition and explanation:

In the United States, the term affordable housing is used to describe
housing for which the total costs of rent – or a mortgage – plus
utilities is at or below, 30% of the household’s gross income.

According to Arlington County, 2 out of every 5 rental households are
spending more than 30% of their income on housing… that’s nearly 20,000
Arlington renters who are paying more for rent than is recommended by
the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. These households are
considered cost burdened, and may have difficulty paying for and
affording other necessities such as transportation, food, clothing, and
medical care.

So, many renter households have trouble finding affordable apartments in
Arlington because it’s such a desirable place to live. And, this high
demand increases rent prices – the Area Median Income (AMI) in Arlington
is $109,200 for a family of four.

Where this new project is, in Maryland, half the renters are
overburdened with rent...that is, they are spending more than 30% of
their family income on rent. The burden there is higher than it is in
Arlington.

Affordable Housing is always going to be a problem up there where you
pay nose bleed prices for a house. The people like you who make 6
figure salaries do not want low cost houses anywhere near you so the
working class people you need to survive will have to commute from
very far away or live in some kind of subsidized housing that you
don't want in your back yard.

Good law, good enforcement.

Too bad there's not more of it.

Can't think of anymore more deserving than you of a really expensive
ticket for speeding. I'm going to the groundbreaking ceremony next
week for some new low-income housing in Waldorf, Maryland, and I'm
sure there will be a Catholic priest there. Maybe I'll ask him to help
arrange divine intervention so that you get nailed for speeding by a
county mountie on the interstate in some backwards part of the Carolinas.

Why would you think the term affordable housing is your definition
nationwide? I reported the legal definition in California.

We have some very nice and new subsidized housing a couple miles from here
in nice neighborhoods...single family detached, townhouses, and apartments.
Their commute is the same as my wife’s if they bus downtown and close to
local businesses, too.

A bus ride commute is not what the Liberals are demanding. They want
housing in the same neighborhood where the work is. Pebble Beach had to
build a subsidized housing in Pebble Beach for the workers. Not a bus ride
away in Marina or Seaside.

I did a little poking around and it sounds like he is talking about
the complex in Prince Frederick (~6 miles away).
That appears to be 100 units in 2 apartment buildings but that seems
to be senior housing (62+) along with the one in Lusby farther down
the road. They do have single family homes around the county and they
have 370 vouchers to rent private homes or apartments.
That is the Calvert County Housing Authority. There is a waiting list.

There are also federal section 8 apartment units available in 3 other
places there.

This is the criteria they use. (sorry if this does not format right)

Income Limit Area Calvert County
Median Income $117,200
Income Limit Category
Very Low (50%) Income Limits Extremely Low Income Limits
Person(s) In Family
1 $41,050 $24,605
2 $46,900 $28,120
3 $52,750 $31,635
4 $58,600 $35,150
5 $63,300 $37,962
