Oh, and the Trump administration is *deliberately* separating kids from

it is not usual to imprison those seeking asylum.

The government ALWAYS takes kids away from imprisoned parents if there
is no other family available. Where have you seen it go any other way.
Simply the fact that there were so many of them at one time
necessitated sending them to facilities in other areas that had room
for them.
As for the asylum, there is a process and jumping the fence is not
part of it. I know you will say the line was too long for the legal
process so they took the law into their own hands but that is no
excuse.
It would be like getting caught in the parking lot with a TV you did
not pay for and telling the cop the line was too long at the register
so you just took it.

Oh, right.

So you have nothing to dispute the comment?
Isn't it the same thing, doing something illegal because the legal
process is not convenient enough for them?

You are conflating issues that have nothing to do with each other.

Of course they do, both are illegal behavior subject to prosecution
and punishment. You just happen to approve of certain kinds of
illegal behavior.

You are trying to say there is "illegal" and then there is "illegal".

I thought federal law was all law and you couldn't just pick and
choose which ones you had to obey.
The laws on seeking asylum do not include jumping the fence and
declaring you are seeking asylum when you get caught. In fact, if they
catch you within 100 miles of the border, they can just put you on the
bus and drop you on the Mexican side of the border immediately.
