You might even recognize some of the stuff although they do seem to be talking more about the Marines in the first few shows I have seen. Does Burns show when the command of Walter Kurtz was terminated? From the comments by you and your little buddy, Donna, "Apocalypse Now" is where you got your knowledge of Vietnam. Was he your commander during your virtual tour over there? The whole scenerio he described sounds s little fishy to me. -- x ----Android NewsGroup Reader---- http://usenet.sinaapp.com/ |

Remember him telling about being shot at somewhere in the South, then it turned out he just wrote a news article about it? The old boy has a bad case of the Brian Williams syndrome. |

You might even recognize some of the stuff although they do seem to be talking more about the Marines in the first few shows I have seen. I have to admit that I've never enjoyed a Vietnam documentary of any kind. But, based on your recommendation, I'll give it a shot. Most of today is supposed to be rainy anyway, and there's no golf to watch. Besides, Tiger really disappointed me last weekend. I had put off some outdoor projects thinking this week would be a washout. Last week the weather people were working overtime issuing dire warnings of severe thunderstorms, torrential rains, flash flooding and all sorts of calamities in our area starting last Saturday night and lasting for most of this week. I think I heard one, distant soft roll of thunder Saturday morning and we had a few sprinkles that didn't even wet the roadways. Yesterday was sunny but humid with a few clouds but no rain. Looks like today will be similar. Maybe if I go out and start my projects the rain will quickly begin. We need some rain around here. Lawns are drying up and running sprinklers doesn't help ... just a waste of water. We had over 6" here on Saturday. Yesterday morning loud thunder and lots of rain. Off and on throughout the day. Today's forecast is 100% chance of thunderstorms throughout the day. I've got a new bug deflector for the truck. Hopefully it'll dry up long enough to install it. https://www.carid.com/images/avs/ite...d-oncar-03.jpg Pretty. The whole front of my camper is covered with bugs. It'll probably take an hour to clean up. Today we do the beartooth highway. We've done it before but this time we have a dashcam. Sounds like fun. I put this stuff on my rig this spring. Seems to work very well at making bugs easy to get off. https://www.amazon.com/Corrosion-Tec... 0_&dpSrc=srch The latest product I'm trying is Dry Wash from Rain X. We just came from the FMCA rally in Gillette. There are numerous products that claim to chase dirt and bugs away. Mosr were expensive. One product that cought my eye was a whole body shaker that claimed to cure everything but cancer. The price range was from 1100 to 2500 dollars. A few minutes on the machine left you feeling pretty good. A quick check on Amazon brought up prices around 200 dollars. Web MD says there could be some minor benefit to using the machine but most of the claims are bogus. It pays to check things out before you buy. For the brain dead (YKW) there is always Consumer Reports to steer buying decisions. x ----Android NewsGroup Reader---- http://usenet.sinaapp.com/ |
