The latest product I'm trying is Dry Wash from Rain X. We just came from the FMCA rally in Gillette. Crikey...you drove your bus from Florida to Wyoming to attend an RV rally? Why? Hell, man, maybe Greyhound will hire you to drive a real cross country bus. We're flying out to North Dakota in September with stops in Montana and South Dakota, where I'll catch up with an old college friend we used to call Der Fliegende Holländer, because he is of Dutch ancestry and flew a small, light plane. He actually is a retired dentist who now lives on the farm he inherited from his folks. I spent a week on that farm about 55 years ago. Hopefully, we'll be avoiding RV venues. |

Why would you go to North Dakota to visit a friend? An RV rally is a great place to meet friends. Those attending RV venues hope you'll avoid them. |

- show quoted text - Wow...how far do you have to drive to see a heart specialist? .......... About 90 mi to Springfield. St. John’s is probably the if not one of the best of the best in the entire state for heart health care. |

Well worth watching. The 10 part Ken Burns Vietnam show is on Netflix now. That is a good binge show. You might even recognize some of the stuff although they do seem to be talking more about the Marines in the first few shows I have seen. I have to admit that I've never enjoyed a Vietnam documentary of any kind. But, based on your recommendation, I'll give it a shot. Most of today is supposed to be rainy anyway, and there's no golf to watch. Besides, Tiger really disappointed me last weekend. I had put off some outdoor projects thinking this week would be a washout. Last week the weather people were working overtime issuing dire warnings of severe thunderstorms, torrential rains, flash flooding and all sorts of calamities in our area starting last Saturday night and lasting for most of this week. I think I heard one, distant soft roll of thunder Saturday morning and we had a few sprinkles that didn't even wet the roadways.Â* Yesterday was sunny but humid with a few clouds but no rain.Â* Looks like today will be similar. Maybe if I go out and start my projects the rain will quickly begin. We need some rain around here.Â* Lawns are drying up and running sprinklers doesn't help ... just a waste of water. Just the opposite here... 5 to 6 inches of rain the last few days, and more scheduled for this week. On Sunday alone, Dulles Airport got 5 inches of rain. Some areas are really saturated, and I've seen news vids of roads flooding over in low spots six feet deep. Here's a vid of the Occoquan River adjacent to I-95 south of the DC Metro area...Normally, it is a placid river... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcF6obFimm4 My folks posted a video of the bridge near Dunkirk (rt4) that was taking water over the road. That is a lot of rain for you guys. 5" of rain here just means it is tuesday ;-) The week before Irma (Harvey) and the week of Irma gave me over 2 feet in my rain gauge. I was emptying it a couple times a day and logging the totals. |

Does Burns show when the command of Walter Kurtz was terminated? They are not really addressing the covert ops in the Cambodian highlands that much. They do make some fairly critical comments about the Phoenix Program. LBJ does not come out well in this show. His own recordings are the worst evidence about the lies he was telling the American public. They are trashing Nixon now. (episode 7&8) He perpetuated the lies. They are saying he was trying for a diplomatic solution but he still widened a losing war. The parallels to Iraq and Afghanistan are striking .... and you ask me why I don't trust the government. |

I had a piece of the deck that broke, parts are unavailable so I fabricated the part. The Ed Labrador Memorial Bridge is pretty much done. I may still have a couple lights I want to put up at the top but the wiring is in place. |

It was pretty dry earlier this morning and yesterday...plenty of rain water sloshing around, but no run off "rivers..." I am not sure but it looks more like a small creek. I can't find the picture now. |
