Default High School Geometry to the rescue.

Our idea of the rope light on the Ed Labrador Memorial bridge looks
cool at night but it is not really that practical for novice swinging
bridge users and the rope does not really like that much flexing.

Plan B is festoon lighting. (those black rubber deals on a SJO cord
with s20 sign bulbs in them). My problem is I don't want that used car
lot bare bulb thing so I need to make "down light cones" for each
socket. Well I reached deep down in my memory and dug up the formula
for making truncated cones and made me some cones from bi color K
gutter coil. (Brown in top, white inside).
Nice little math and compass trick.

Thank you Col Booth (my high school math teacher).

Weather willing, a little luck and I will have lights tomorrow.

You just gotta love math teachers, especially those retired from the military.
