Most of the rednecks I know are over it. The really strange thing is that the racists here, such as Herring, think KKK'ers are *my* buddies, and that I am a racist because I occasionally speak out against racism expressed in this country and in this newsgroup against people of color and ethnic minorities. I suppose that because I believe "white is not always right," that makes me a racist in the little minds of racists. When you call everyone who disagrees with you a racist it makes the word meaningless and when you assume any reference to laziness, criminality or corruption refers to a particular minority group it calls into question who the racist really is. Yes, I am anti-religion. But practicing a religion in this country is a matter of choice, not something that is part of a person because of genetics or ethnic origin. So anti semitism is OK with you now? First, I do not call everyone who disagrees with me a racist. Second, as I have stated many times, my objection to religion is because many of them try to force their beliefs on non-believers or those who believe differently. As far as I know, Jews aren't looking for converts. But they do welcome them, don't they? That must disturb your equilibrium. From what I have read, most Jews do not welcome converts and, in fact, make it challenging to join their tribe. Anything worthwhile is worth working for. You've probably read that somewhere too, but forgot. I didn't know a candidate had to join a tribe to convert. I'll defer to your extensive reading to substantiate that notion. -- x ----Android NewsGroup Reader---- http://usenet.sinaapp.com/ |

Bull****. I'm not looking for political converts. I think you have to be really stupid to support today's GOP or its leader, Donald Trump, but I'll make no effort to try to force you to support a different political party. Contradictory statements in one sentence. Way to go Mr Writer. I can see why you write for the unions. No force here. Not force in the physical sense but you just said someone is stupid if they support the other party. |

So long as they keep their ignorance and superstition to themselves, well, what the hell, eh? It is strange that you only apply this standard to Christians. People who spend the same effort preaching atheism get a pass from you. It is just become another religion. You also seem to give shelter to Islam and you embrace Judaism. I'm in my 70s and have lived in many states in this country. I've never run into Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, et cetera, who knocked on my door and tried to convert me, nor have I encountered rabbis, imans, lamas*, et cetera, from those religions who work the courts or legislatures to force their religious beliefs on those who believe differently or not at all. Christians, though, frequently engage in such activities. As I said they are selective about who can join their cult but they want money (and blood) from everyone. Who are you talking about here? The "Tribe" you were talking about. |

Second, as I have stated many times, my objection to religion is because many of them try to force their beliefs on non-believers or those who believe differently. As far as I know, Jews aren't looking for converts. Tell that to the Palestinians or the members of congress who are coerced into supporting that apartheid jewish state. They don't want me to be a jew but they still want me to pay for their state. ($38 billion last year alone and more like a trillion since WWII in inflation corrected dollars) I'm not aware of any efforts in my town, state, or country in which Jews are trying to force their religious beliefs onto others or looking for converts. *You* are discussing something else entirely. As for the Palestinians, I'm not sure anyone can tell them anything. Their leadership has done their people dirty for decades. As I said, they do not want to recruit us into their "tribe" (your word) but they do coerce us into supporting their homeland with upwards of a trillion dollars since WWII plus much more indirectly and spill our blood to protect them. Iraq was not about oil, nor was it about Saddam. We took out Iraq so Israel wouldn't. The same is true of Syria and Assad. If these weasels were anywhere else, the US would not give a ****. You only have to look at Africa to see that. We overthrew the democratically elected president of Egypt because he made Tel Aviv nervous. |
