Sadly, New Orleans these days isn't worth a fly-over. It never recovered after the hurricane disasters, and most of the best restaurants and shops never re-opened. Tens of thousands of people have pulled out, never to return. The downtown "tourist" area, which used to be interesting, if a bit sleazy, is just filthy. Perfect place for Herring to visit! Maybe a waterfront river rat will make a meal of him. You've obviously not been there in a long time. You'd be amazed at how well they've recovered. The population has almost doubled since Katrina, and is withing 20% of where it was pre-Katrina. Isn't it uncomfortable to sit in your basement with your head up your ass? -- Freedom Isn't Free! |

Mother's was great, Mr. Ed's not so. The shrimp in the shrimp grits were way over cooked. A complaint got us some great bread pudding though. After all the eating on the ship, I really wasn't all that hungry anyway. They fed us a great disembarking breakfast. -- Freedom Isn't Free! |
