Gene (remember him?) posted the site to show how badly the US was doing because of Trump's actions. It backfired. -- Freedom Isn't Free! see what? Whoops! The site below lists by country the number of cases per million population. Comparing us, at 106/1M, to some of those countries with the 'superb' medical systems make ours look pretty good. Trump did the right thing, and seems to be continuing. https://www.worldometers.info/corona...IIsE#countries Country Cases/1M Pop USA*********** 106 Sweden******* 191 Denmark***** 250 France******** 252 Switzerland*** 951 Netherlands** 245 Germany***** 313 -- Freedom Isn't Free! I saw that data.* It struck me that the countries Harry so much admires for their "health care for all" systems have higher death numbers per million population than the USA, i.e. Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, etc. It strikes me that you "science guys" are really in the dark. You are not taking into account the availability of test kits and testing per country, the poor availability of test kits in the US, the updated stats that show the USA even on a limited data basis has about 15% of the reported cases in the world and the current US confirmed deaths total about 450 against 10,000 worldwide, or about 5% of worldwide deaths, and the fact that the virus became active here later than it did in other countries. You should have studied English.* ![]() You should study "Google for Dummies". The USA did *not* confirm first cases later than those you admire in Europe. Here are the dates: USA: January 19 Switzerland: February 25 Norway: February 26 Demark: February 26 Sweden: March 5 Italy confirmed first two cases on January 31st -- after the USA UK confirmed first cases in February, again after the USA. There you go with those heinous facts again! -- Freedom Isn't Free! |

Mass testing will end. Businesses will all be allowed to re-open immediately. Schools will be selectively re-opened depending on their locations. The treatment being talked about (malaria drug and Z-Pac) will receive immediate approval for distribution by prescription for those who exhibit coronavirus symptoms. Might require a patient waiver to hold doc and drug manufacturer harmless. Then, we will just let the virus run it's course. Politicians have successfully ****ed on any other options. I expect he'll change it to a 30-day plan. There are way too many assholes who won't abide by the restrictions suggested. Partying is far too important. Maybe as things keep getting worse some of them will wake up. -- Freedom Isn't Free! If he goes to a 30 day plan and Pelosi and Schumer continue their political games we are headed for a depression, not a recession. If they believe it will help Joe Biden get elected, I would not put that past them at all. Their actions now give away their intent. There's no intent of helping people, except as it will help their chances in November. I think there is little difference in their attitudes and Harry's. '**** everyone, if it will get Trump out.' -- Freedom Isn't Free! No question about that. They've made the political maneuvers necessary so Senate Republicans have no choice but to give in to their demands otherwise Pelosi and Schumer can point their crooked fingers at the Republicans as being the party at fault for causing all that will result. They also will be able to claim responsibility for "saving" the country if a bill to their liking is eventually passed. Makes me want to puke. Man, I hope the American public isn't duped by their games. Did you see this? I thought it pretty interesting. It struck me that the countries Harry so much admires for their "health care for all" systems have higher death numbers per million population than the USA, i.e. Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, etc. They aren't saying it out loud but in those "rationed care" countries, I bet they don't have as much equipment or facilities as we do and if what they said yesterday is true, we are going to be making a bunch more of everything. One thing the "fee for service" model does is make it profitable for every little strip mall quack to have lots of equipment and there is no shortage of those places. The idea of making the hospitals the Covid centers and taking as many as possible of other cases to other facilities certainly expands those resources across the medical community. I also think military medical personnel will start getting more respect. I don't really think we will have any shortage of medical resources if we use them wisely. |
