![]() The emphasis being placed on testing is good, I guess but I don't really get it. It seems like all it really does is lowers the reported "percentage of deaths" number as a mathematical statistic that gives a false sense of security to the public. It is certainly not having any effect on the continued spread of the virus. I think it also may give people a false sense of security and may even exasperate the situation by having them think that just because they don't have it now, it is safe to ignore many of the precautions to avoid crowds or close contact with others. -- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG. https://www.avg.com |

You don't think enumerating and locating are important? Yes, of course. My point is that it isn't doing anything to stop the spread of covid-19. So far, it's just data for statistical analysis. The mathematical lowering of death percentages may sound reassuring but doesn't change the fact that the virus continues to spread exponentially and the number of deaths continue to rise. -- This email has been checked for viruses by AVG. https://www.avg.com |

To me it would be beneficial only if we were all tested every day and if an early diagnosis made 'cure' more probable. Also, advance knowledge that we are carriers may keep us inside more. -- Freedom Isn't Free! |

You don't think enumerating and locating are important? Not really. As Fauci said, "just assume you have it". Your protocols should be the same and there is no real cure other than time and a little luck. A better test would be antibodies for those who got over it and are now assumed to be immune, at least for this strain. That is the only thing that might make me relax a little but I don't want to get the garden variety flu either. I may just keep this regimen of scrubbing up every time I leave a place. |

It is just gee whiz info at this point. It is true, the more cases they confirm, the better the stats look but if you are the one who dies, I doubt that is really important to you or your family either. |
