Leaving us 33 million legal residents. If we have 12 million under 18, we
are down to a possible 21 million legal voters. 17/21 = 80% voter
participation. No f’n way we have that level of participation.

of votes cast, but it only ranked third in terms of the percentage of
California citizens who voted. California works to get its people out to
vote, unlike many Republican-controlled states, which work hard to
suppress the vote, especially the vote of minorities. I believe I read
the actual percentage of participation was 70%, not 80% and again, that
was not a record percentage.

Biden got more than 11,000,000 votes in California. Trump got 6,000,000.
The Loonytarians got 187,895. Sweet.

Our states mostly do not split Electoral College votes...it is winner
take all. I' d like to see us get rid of the Electoral College and adopt
a uniform system and mechanism nationwide for federal elections.

That is true but simply because you live in a sparsely populated state
with different vital interests doesn't mean your voice should be drown
out by people in the city. That is the feudal system.
I agree the people in Wyoming should not be able to tell people in New
York how to live but the opposite is still true. Laws that may make
perfect sense in NYC, are just stupid on a ranch in Montana.
It is the reason why we have states.


Montana has two U.S. Senators, the same as New York State. My proposal
to dump the EC does not interfere with that.

Dropping the EC still diminishes their ability to affect the election
of the president. Without the EC, candidates would only campaign in
about a dozen big states and would ignore the small ones.

popular vote for Congress, is the Executive Branch. Executive Branch is
