I have a great deal on a new 2002 Mercury Sal****er 125 Carbureted Outboard,
2 stroke 25" shaft motor I am trying to sell, (this motor retails for around
7K) and I'm trying to find good web-sites where people would have interests
in this and selling is allowed.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ebay is an excellent place to sell motors but, unless you're selling it
within a regional area, you'll have to be prepared to crate it up. I
expect shipping cartons are available through Merc dealers.

The upside is that you'll expose your motor to a very large audience and
have a good chance of getting a good price quickly.

Already have one of them on eBay but I was trying to sell them more directly
and avoid all the fees on the other motors I have

Unfortunately, I think that's the price you pay for the exposure. One
way to cut the fees down is to make certain people can't use paypal.
Make them pay you directly with money order or cashier's check.

If you've got a lot of merchandise to move, I don't know if there's a
better forum than ebay to do it. You can always try the local version
of Boat Trader but that's a longer slog and still costs.

You can also try the local forsale newsgroups in areas that are good
markets for outboards.
