I went down Thursday eve. Got to fish Friday. I wanted a King
but didn't hear ANY radio chatter and didn't want to go out that far alone with not many other boaters out there so, I settled for some MONSTER whiting. Caught them right in front of the lighthouse about 200 yards off the beach. That was fun and far less *work*. I was surprised to see the Prov. Co. open when I floated by. Figured the old green shades would be zipped up tight for winter. Was planning on going out Saturday morn. but the cold morning air combined with the winds made me decide to pack it in for the season and pull the old Mako home for the winter. Thanks for the Prov. Co tip.. It's almost lunchtime and your post made me hungry. ![]() I got skunked this year on Kings... I didn't get to go down many weekends this year. Things are kinda busy 'round here. Oh well, at the end of the day, there's always *the drink* and memories of season's past. db~Till next May sigh p.s. I lost my almost new "Mako Marine" hat in the creek (wildlife) beside your slip.. If you see it, toss a boathook in it's direction. ![]() "Gene Kearns" wrote in message ... Last Call......
