Lake Okanagan

Need to select a boat, we're originally from Muskoka
and the lakes there are puny.

Want a day cruiser for 6, 100 hp Evinrude preferred,
the new ECEL looks good, maybe 18', and definitely
a Variable pitch for that motor. Overnighter for 4.
Extended waterway vacation for 2.

Must be quiet and not smell, otherwise I'll choose
electric for cruise and an old merc for speed.

Anything standard, or should I customize, $ not an
object. (Only live once).

Aluminium hall a must, many rocks near shore when
docking...

TIA
Regards

Thanks checked it out, ((Sorry I used ECEL in place of E-TEC
in my OP)).

I'm a tiller brat from the 50's, weened on stinky outboards
with 2 cycle engines using 20:1, ie. troll upwind.
The gauges on the dash for simple boats in the ref above
looks like an aircraft cockpit. The only gauge you need
is the fuel gauge and that's on the tanks. The rest is
useless wiring, cost etc.

It's commen sense to adjust speed to boat density and wake.

If a sign says slow, you nil your wake...etc.
If you have a lot of fat Italians sitting in the back
near the transom you're almost in neutral...so redistribute
ballast.

Boating is not rocket science, why pay for it???
