For starters, it's not a list, it's a newsgroup. Nothing here shows up
in your mailbox, or requires your attention in any manner. You don't
have to read a single item if you don't wish to.

There are several boating oriented mailing lists available if this
newsgroup offends you.

If you don't see the topics you want to discuss posted here, you have two
choices:

1) Wait for the Newsgroup Fairy to sprinkle magic dust and fix it......

2) Start a thread about a topicv that is of interest to you

I guess that sitting and bitching is a third choice- but no more productive
than item #1 above.

You'd be suprized how often "Option 1" works.
