1) why did you buy a boat?

I enjoy fishing as well as boating, form of relaxation, stress management
(what was I thinking?)

2) what helped you decide that you wanted a boat?

Social influence, boat ownership and captains ran in the family.

3) why did you buy from the dealer that you bought it from?

Distribributor of the product that I wanted.

4) did you have a good buying experience with your dealer?

No, few better alternatives in my geographical area. I find some to have low
integrity, with no concern for their image.

5) what was the best thing about your buying experience with your dealer?

Best "thing" I guess was I knew they were not a 100% honest, they knew that
I knew, didn't care about it, so this allowed me to squeeze their margins on
my purchase so incredibly, and I felt comfortable with it. I maximized my
value.

6) what was the worst thing about your buying experience with your

dealer?

An unusual relationship, not typical to today's supply chain relationships
or distributorships. Not very customer focused, at least not in my area.

Thanks! I really appreciate it! Next time I see you at the dock I will

be
sure to take you for a nice ride in my boat!

1) why did you buy a boat?

Lets see...To live aboard, to sail/cruise Georgia Strait, Gulf Islands, BC
Coast, to catch fish in lakes, to get to that little bay in Annasis
Channel that's not accessable by land...

2) what helped you decide that you wanted a boat?

The rafts I built when I was 8 kept sinking.

3) why did you buy from the dealer that you bought it from?

In both cases, they had the boat I wanted

4) did you have a good buying experience with your dealer?

Dealer #1 - no! He was river-slime.
Dealer #2 - Not bad.

5) what was the best thing about your buying experience with your dealer?

The boats

6) what was the worst thing about your buying experience with your dealer?

The dealers. I have no use for them.

Thanks! I really appreciate it! Next time I see you at the dock I will be
sure to take you for a nice ride in my boat!

BTW: I buy the vast majority of my boats used, directly from the owner.

"Far Cove" Catalina 36 (from dealer)
"Near Cove" Walker Bay 8
"Tin Boat" Mirrocraft 12

previously:
"Valkyrie" Campion 18(from dealer)
"Stinky" Fibrecraft 14
"Starsend" Cal 25
"Determination" Venture 22
....and so on!

I love being on the water - fishing, cruising, sailing, water skiing,
whatever - it's just better being on the water - any water, salt or fresh.

2) what helped you decide that you wanted a boat?

I missed it. I've been landlocked for 20 years. Too long.

3) why did you buy from the dealer that you bought it from?

I bought a couple of cars from a dealership owned by the same folks.

4) did you have a good buying experience with your dealer?

Yes.

5) what was the best thing about your buying experience with your dealer?

The brand new 200 hp Mercury DFI engine died after 3 weeks. Bombardier
wanted the dealer to fix it, the dealer insisted they replace it. Dealer
won.

6) what was the worst thing about your buying experience with your dealer?

They don't know very much about boats.

1) why did you buy a boat?

First for fishing, and second for taking the family out on the river.

2) what helped you decide that you wanted a boat?

I wanted to get out on the water and fish tournaments. I fished as a
non-boater, but I wanted to fish some as a boater too.

3) why did you buy from the dealer that you bought it from?

Convenience, and the only other shop in town is owned by a jackass.

4) did you have a good buying experience with your dealer?

Yes.

5) what was the best thing about your buying experience with your dealer?

It was a commissioned consignement sale, and the dealer helped me negotiate
a good deal.

6) what was the worst thing about your buying experience with your

dealer?

I had to hand over the cash for the boat. LOL.

So, when exactly will you be at Fihser's Landing. I'll meet you there with
my tackle.
