The current oil prices are being manipulated by certain OPEC states, notably Saudi Arabia, by oil corporations, such as EXXON, by affiliated industries, such as Halliburton, Doesn't the Bush family make a $million or so every time the price of oil goes up $1 a bbl? They ought to be on their knees thanking Soros if this is true. Baloney. If a foreign entitity is purposely manipulating the price of oil in order to influence our elections, then you, as an American, should be absolutely outraged. That's economic terrorism. |

Futures options allow someone to leverage their money without putting a lot of money up front. It's absolutely possible...and likely. Just wait and see. To spend $100 billion on oil "futures", (which are highly leveraged), wouldn't that effectively buy up most of the world's production? Gaining a monopoly on a resource They'll never take delivery of the oil. They'll dump the contracts...initially at a huge profit. But when prices come crashing down, they'll be stuck holding a bunch of contracts that will never be exercised. That's the price guys like Soros are willing to pay in order to defeat Bush. And you thought 527 spending was bad! |

How about the revelation that is about to come out linking Soros (and certain countries) to the current record prices of oil futures. How forgiving do you think Americans will be when they find out that other countries, and Kerry's biggest supporter are manipulating oil futures, hurting the American economy, and costing them money in their retirement accounts and at the pump all in the name of defeating Bush on November 2nd? *THAT's* the October surprise. Why will it work in Bush's favor? Americans won't stand for external forces meddling in our elections. LOL, even if true, it's way to complicated. 42% of this country still believe Saddam was directly involved with 9/11 and you're going to try to sell an oil futures conspiracy in seven days. You don't need to sell it. People watch the news and know that *speculation* is what's driving oil prices so high. Right now they are looking for somebody to blame. They'll conveniently be given Kerry's biggest contributor and notorious speculator as the bad guy...just days before the election. That's good for a couple of point bump for Bush. |

Baloney. If a foreign entitity is purposely manipulating the price of oil
in order to influence our elections, then you, as an American, should be absolutely outraged. That's economic terrorism. Is George Soros a foreign entity? Last time an entity, (Enron), manipulated the price of energy (electricity), that entity was invited to serve as a special consultant to VP Cheney as he planned the Bush Ad's energy policy. Suppose that Bush, if he wins next week, will invite Soros and his cartel to do the same? :-) |

Saudi Arabia has greatly increased supply to far outpace increased demand. The current prices aren't a supply and demand issue. There's plenty of supply. What's driving the prices is speculative purchasing of future oil contracts by some anti-Bush folks. If you were smart, you'd short oil futures for the weeks after the election. No matter who wins, they'll come crashing down...and Soros and company will walk away that much richer. Now I'm confused. If Soros is buying oil futures driving up the price, how is he going to make money when the price crashes? He won't. Although he'll make money *initially* when he starts dumping his contracts after the election, when prices finally crash, he'll be stuck with a bunch of contracts that he'll never exercise. That's the price he has decided to pay in order to defeat Bush. "Asked whether he would trade his $7 billion fortune to unseat Bush, Soros opened his mouth. Then he closed it. The proposal hung in the air: Would he become poor to beat Bush? He said, "If someone guaranteed it." |
