Default News about Garmin (from an e-mail)

Garmin has announced the discontinuing of it's "G-Chart" format cartography.
These chart cards support the older Garmin chartplotters like the 180 / 185 and
210 / 215 / 220 / 225 / 230 / 235 series. The good news is that these cards
will be available through December of 2004, so we still have 12 months to fill
in any cards your customers may need. Keep this in mind when selling used
boats that may have older Garmin product installed. These products are no
longer supported by Garmin for service and repair, so if any of these units
should fail, they will not be repairable.

This does not affect newer Garmin product using the "Blue Chart" cards.

Lighten up, at least I was smiling... and if memory serves, he isn't
an atheist.

And nobody has suggested an adequate replacement for the
225......which would have been a more valuable post than a pointless
personal attack...

It wasn't a personal attack. I saw your smile. I was using the "extremely
deadpan" delivery, however. Only Noah from the Adirondacks catches that one
most of the time. :-)
