"JSJ AMERIKA"

Only a woman could dream this one up.

Interesting [though somewhat complicated] mixture.

Downside: I'd virtually guarantee that the "Amerika" portion, with the

'K',
will occasion a steady stream of comment, mostly from those presuming a
virulent left-wing anti-government statement on her part.

I thought about that. It would be an un-winnable debate. (much like what
goes on here)
She already checked to see if any other boats had a similar name.

It makes sense to her, therefore it is.

That's just creepy. I don't like men who are submissive to their wives.

You could do as the Sultan of Brunai did and name your boat "TITS" ...

I sometimes have a similar problem with 'Brefnie Queen'.

I have a similar problem with my boat, "Dasjdfys Gsodf S7ssfs"

Actually that's the way a buddy came up with the name for his company ... I
won't repeat it since it has since gone under ... let's hope your wife has
better luck with her boat :-)

After two weeks of deliberations, Mrs. E. just came in the room and
announced her decision on the name of her Grand Banks.

"JSJ AMERIKA"

de-coded it is:

JSJ - first initial of our three kids, Janice, Steven, John.

AME - Mrs's E's initials, AnnaMarie Eriksson

ERIK - obvious reference to last name.

RI - Fleeting reference to me, Richard.

KA - first initial of each of our daughters-in-law, Kim and Alexis.

My first sailboat was a new 17' Siren weekender. I named it ROBAN after
my two sons...ROBbie & ANdrew
I had orginally planned to name it ANNIE..re ANdrew /RobbIE because Andrew
is the oldest but the wife wasn't crazy about me putting another woman's
name on our boat. This time...as captain and master of the vessel, I'll
tolerate no disention. :-)

This reminds me of a family with 2 sons, Harold and Donald
who called their house HarDon.
The neighbours smiled.....

Can you do that phonetically, or was it?

It's not bad & at least creative:-)

So; I assume it's a done deal?? her bottom checked out OK :-) when does
it become hers?? It'll a take a little longer to get to Florida but be a
much more enjoyable trip this winter. It's always the getting there
rather than the destination & the slower you travel the more you enjoy
the trip itself, all the little places to explore.

I am surprised. I just talked to her and explained that in the eyes of some
"Amerika" would be taken as a derogatory statement of America. Obviously,
she was only trying to fit in a reference to everybody's name.

Anyway, she agrees and is back to her deliberations.

Eisboch

So how do you feel about your imminent deed pol name change then:-)????

Yep, done deal. Survey was fine, no major problems. Official closing takes
place on Tuesday, next week.

Neither boat will be going to Florida, at least not this year. I came very
close to taking the Navigator south again a month ago, but bad weather and
other issues put that trip on the back burner. So, both boats will be tucked
away for the winter and we'll drive to Florida.
