Hi.
Looking at a 1963 37' Chris Craft. All appears in good condition. Assuming a satisfactory survey, who insures these? I am looking for coverage in San Joaquin Delta & SF bay. No coastwise. In the past, I have used Allstate, but it's been 3 or 4 years between boats. Who has good coverage, good claims settlement and a reasonable price? |

I have a 1962 36' Connie in the same area (I keep it at Bethel Island).
BOAT/US covers it. They have also covered my jet boat (trailered) since 1997. I've never had a loss so I can't speak to how things go when you have a claim. The coverage on the Connie is less than $400 a year (it's three hundred something.... just can't remember the "something" without going through my file cabinet...) You looking at one with a fly bridge? I only ask because a former member of the club I belong to is selling a real nice one (boat has a Hawaiian name?) |

I had a claim with Boat/US a number of years ago when a wheel came off a
boat & trailer at 60 mph in the middle of the night in Wisconsin in the rain; I don't recommend it. They paid quickly with no questions. Capt. Jeff |
