Well good for Bass Cat - #1 in the Bass Boat division.

I have to tell you folks that the whole Bass Cat operation are a bunch
of standup folks and they deserve this award.

Six years ago I had purchased a Bass Cat 18 foot aluminum bass boat
that developed a leak which couldn't be repaired without removing the
whole forward casting desk and part of the rear (it was in the
plumbing). Meanwhile Bass Cat decided to get out of the aluminum bass
boat business

The local dealer couldn't handle the repair and when it was returned
to Bass Cat, they determined that the repair could not be done without
costing them a ton of money above and beyond what it would be
ultimately worth. I received a call from the President of Bass Cat
Rick Pierce who basically said "we will give you one hell of a deal on
a glass boat or you can have your money back".

I opted for the money back as I didn't need a glass bass boat. The
money was delivered via Federal Express overnight in the form of a
certified check.

I have always said if I were to buy a bass boat and do a tournament
trail, it would be in a Bass Cat.

Later,

Tom

SeaRay #1 in cruiser quality, reliability and value LOL. How utterly
ridiculous. How revealing (of the survey). yawn

Perhaps they included complimentary gold necklace and viagra pill holders
with their boats this year. ;-)

It's hard to put a lot of stock in these surveys at the top. Its just
like the car surveys. If you paid 60 grand for a rebadged Camry now
called a Lexus, of course you're gonna say it's worth it. If not, you're
admitting you made poor choice, and who wants to do that. This is also
proven by the inane comment "Chaparral performs particularly well in
engine performance." I didn't know they use different engines than every
other manufacturer. I think the bottom of the rankings have more validity
and that's where you need to watch out the most anyway to avoid from
getting taken.
